Chart House is a recently restored Grade II listed self-catering holiday home perfectly positioned close to the beaches in the Pembrokeshire seaside town of Tenby, and undoubtedly one of the best places to stay in the area. This stunning south-facing property is just 80 yards from beautiful Castle Beach, voted Sunday Times Beach of the Year in 2019.

It’s rare to find a holiday home that offers such a dream combination: year-round tranquillity on a quiet cobbled street, with golden beaches, shops and town centre restaurants just minutes away. Whatever the season, Chart House is the perfect escape for families and friends, large or smaller groups.

The elegant interior of Chart House has been gorgeously updated to offer a luxurious seaside-style family holiday house while retaining its traditional mid-Victorian character. There are sea views from many of the rooms, a superbly equipped kitchen, and a games room on the top floor.

The five bedrooms, two bathrooms and en-suite cloakroom are exquisitely decorated with all the extras you’d expect including top-quality bed linen, deep-filled mattresses and luxury towels. Outside, a small courtyard terrace offers an intimate space for morning coffee, sunny lunchtime barbecues or evening drinks as you relax before dinner.

We let Chart House Tenby with Rural Retreats for 10 guests (all five double bedrooms) throughout the year, and also at a reduced rate for 6 guests during the off-peak season (choose which three bedrooms you’d like).  We have weekly rates with typically Saturday arrival, 3 or 4 night short breaks with Tuesday or Saturday arrival, and can accommodate Friday arrival for weekend breaks. Please ask if you require something bespoke, as we try to be flexible as possible.

TENBY

Tenby is probably the most iconic and well-visited seaside town in Wales. Steeped in ancient history and surrounded by an imposing medieval stone wall. Tenby has seen many changes, but it has been on the leisure map for over 200 years. With all that experience, the people of Tenby certainly know how to offer each and every visitor an unforgettable time.

There are plenty of shops in the town specialising in locally produced items and plenty of attractions such as boat trips, wildlife parks, golf and plenty of walks within the surrounding areas across the many beautiful beaches and the famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.

When you visit Tenby you will discover a maze of narrow little streets. The roads are pedestrianised during the day in summer when the bars and restaurants set up al fresco seating, and there are plenty of fascinating and quirky shops.

EXPLORE TENBY & PEMBROKESHIRE COAST FROM STYLISH CHART HOUSE

We were the 1st guests to stay at Chart House. It is a newly refurbished property where no expense has been spared. We were a family of 7 and had plenty of space with the 5 bedrooms and the games room on the top floor. The owners have thought of everything. They provide a BBQ and even body boards and beach toys in the back yard. The kitchen is well equipped. The house is situated on a quiet street only 50m up to town or 50m down to the parragon cliffs and the steps down to the beach. We swam every day in the sea and with the town so close to hand we didn't really feel like we had to go out in the car anywhere. Although we did venture out to St Davids and the Blue Lagoon on one day and to Manorbier.

Really superb 5 storey townhouse right in the middle of Tenby’s old town. Less than a 2 minutes walk to the pubs & restaurants and a stones throw to the sea (which you can see from the upper rooms). Beautifully equipped, with literally everything thought of. From kitchen equipment, bedrooms, bathrooms, BBQ, etc. Looks like something out of House & Gardens! Very comfortable. And best welcome pack I’ve ever seen. Lots of stairs as you would expect in a townhouse & parking away from the house in a multi-storey, but you can offload in the street.

Charthouse has been a wonderful venue for our special family celebration. We have ranged in age from 5 to 80! and have had a lot to do in Tenby and the glorious beaches around. The house is so convenient for both the town and the beach. Delightfully furnished and splendidly equipped.
